Are you Making These Sunscreen Mistakes?

Using an expired product

You should finish your sunscreen in one season. When in doubt, throw it out!

Forgetting to re-apply

Sun protection is only effective for up to two hours when you are in the sun. Sweating and swimming will make it less effective so it is important to reapply every hour or so.

Not using enough

An ounce of spf is recommended and that is about a shot glass full. Most of us don’t use enough. Don’t skimp!

Not wearing Spf daily

UVA rays penetrate deep into the skin and cause premature aging and wrinkling. They are present year round. It is also important to protect your skin from skin cancer.

Forgetting your chest

Bring your daily spf down to your neck and chest. The chest area receives much more sun than you may realize and we don’t want your chest to give away your age.

Using less than SPF 30
